STROUD TOWNSHIP, PA

About Us

Stroud Township is located in the northeastern part of Pennsylvania, just a few miles west of the Delaware River and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. It surrounds most of the borough of Stroudsburg, and partially borders East Stroudsburg borough. Stroud Township is served by 2 Postal Districts (Stroudsburg, and East Stroudsburg). Major roads include Interstate 80 and Routes 209, 191, 447, and 611. There are several streams and creeks, the largest being The Brodhead Creek. Children attend Stroudsburg Area School District. Two elementary schools (Arlington and Clearview) are located in Stroud Township, as well as Stroudsburg Middle School, Intermediate School, and, Junior High.

Voting Precincts

Do you know where to vote for the next election? Stroud Township has seven voting precincts. New residents can register to vote at Voters Registration located in the Monroe County Administrative Center, at 1 Quaker Plaza (the old Sears Building next to the Monroe County Courthouse) in Stroudsburg off of 6th St. (570-517-3165).

Current residents who move to another part of the township must re-register to vote. 

Voting precinct and polling places will be assigned based on physical location of your residence. You may only vote in the designated precinct shown on your voter’s registration card. 

If you don’t vote for three consecutive years, your registration expires and you will need to re-apply at the Voters Registration office before being permitted to vote again.
