Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is comprised of seven volunteer residents that act as an independent voice representing the overall interest of the Township. The members of the Commission are appointed by the Board of Supervisors and act as an advisory group to them, as well as to the Zoning Hearing Board. Some of the duties include advising the Township in regard to long-range planning, recommendation of changes to the official Township Zoning Map, proposed zoning ordinance changes, and subdivision and land development plans. The Commission also advises the Zoning Hearing Board by reviewing all special use applications pending before the Board.

Current members are: Wm. Taylor Wenck (Chairperson),   Joseph Holbert (Vice Chairperson),  Charles A. Poalillo (Secretary), Pat Briegle,  Kenneth Lang, and George Vlamis.  Planning Commission Administrator is John DeCusatis.  Solicitor is Cramer, Swetz, McManus, P.C.  Alternate Solicitor is Richard Deetz.  Engineer is Reilly Assocaites.

Planning Commission Meetings are usually held the last Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Stroud Township Municipal Center.

Subdivision and Land Development
      
The Township has an Ordinance regulating the subdivision and development of land for residential and commercial purposes. Plans are subject to review by the Planning Commission and approval of the supervisors. A copy of this ordinance may be reviewed or purchased at the Municipal Center.
